Objective: to discuss the clinical features of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in patients of different gender.Methods: 1 248 patients who were diagnosed with RA from July 2006 to January 2015 were collected and divided into Group Male and Group Female, with the general situation, laboratory examination and the involved heart learned.Results: The incidence age of the male patients were older than that of the female patients (P=0.016), there being no statistical significance (P>0.05) . There were 54 cases of joint deformities, 117 cases of involved knee joints, 51 cases of dry mouths, 28 cases of dry eyes, 11 cases of combined high blood pressure and 17 cases of osteoporosis among male patients while there were 126 cases, 202 cases, 123 cases, 84 cases, 52 cases and 43 cases respectively in female patients , the difference being significant (P<0.05). There were 59 cases of positive ANA , 34 cases of elevated platelets, 32 cases of reduced hemoglobin, 117case of abnormal ESR , 14 cases of abnormal creatinine abnormalities in male patients while there were 125 cases, 71 cases, 71 cases, 202 cases and 6 cases respectively in female patients , the significance being different (P<0.05). There were no difference in terms of CRP, hemoglobin, white blood cells, positive anti-CCP and positive AKA between men and women (P>0.05).Conclusion: The elderly men were susceptible to RA, while elderly women were susceptible to joint deformities, knee joint involvement,dry mouths, dry eyes, combined high blood pressure and combined osteoporosis. There were more ANA positive rates, increased platelets, hemoglobin and increased ESR in female patients than in male patients. There was more elevated serum creatinine in men than in women.
