Objective: To analyze the expression of Livin protein in human bladder cancer tissues and its correlation with bladder cancer. Methods: Literatures related to this study were searched in Chinese databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database, SinoMed, and English databases such as Pubmed, Web of Science, ScienceDirect and The Cochrane Library. Revman 5.4 and Stata 16.0 software were used for statistical analysis of the extracted data, such as the number of cases, patient gender, tumor stage and grade. Results: A total of 22 clinical trials were included, with a total number of 1 128 cases. The results showed that the positive rate of Livin expression in bladder cancer tissues was higher than that in normal bladder tissues (OR=36.02, 95%CI: 23.95-54.14, P<0.05). Livin expression was positively correlated with tumor recurrence and tumor T stage (OR=5.78, 95%CI:3.41-9.80, P<0.05; OR=1.73, 95%CI:1.30-2.31, P<0.05). Conclusion: Compared with the control group, the positive expression rate of Livin protein in bladder cancer tissues is increased, and it is related to the malignant biological behavior and poor prognosis of the tumor, indicating that it may play a role in the occurrence and development of bladder cancer, and may be used as a predictor of early recurrence of bladder cancer.
