Abstract

Objective: To investigate the related factors influencing the pregnancy rate of intrauterine insemination (IUI) with the husband’s sperm. Methods: From January 2019 to February 2022, 129 couples underwent IUI treatment at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Anhui No. 2 Provincial People's Hospital. There were 183 cycles in total. Differences in ovulation protocols, infertility factors, and pregnancy rates in patients under IUI were compared. Results: Pregnancy rates of women <35 years were higher than those women ≥35 years (P<0.05), and pregnancy rates women under ovarian stimulation protocol were higher than women under natural ovulation protocols (P<0.05). Pregnancy rates of women with a BMI (body mass index)<24 kg/m2 were higher than those in the groups with BMI of ≥24~<28 kg/m2 group and BMI≥28 kg/m2 (P<0.05). The pregnancy rates influenced by different factors were compared and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was statistical significance in the number of dominant follicles between the pregnancy group and non-pregnancy group (P<0.05). Multivariate Logstic regression analysis showed that the number of dominant follicles could be an independent factor to improve the clinical pregnancy rate (P<0.05). Conclusion: Female age <35 years, ovulation stimulation protocol, and BMI <24 kg/m2 could improve the success rate of pregnancy under IUI (P<0.05), and the number of dominant follicles could be an independent factor to increase the clinical pregnancy rate (P<0.05).
