Abstract

Objective: To explore the effect of psychological intervention on psychological state and quality of life in patients with severe preeclampsia. Methods: A total of 118 patients with severe preeclampsia diagnosed in our hospital from February 2017 to February 2019 were selected, and the patients were divided into traditional group and education group with 59 cases in each group by random control method. Patients in the traditional group were treated with routine nursing intervention, while patients in the education group were given psychological intervention including psychoeducation and relaxation training on the basis of usual care. The pregnancy-related stress, symptom checklist 90-revised score and pregnancy outcome (cesarean section rate, eclampsia rate and neonatal asphyxia rate) were observed and compared between two groups. Results: After psychological intervention, the pregnancy stress score of the education group was significantly lower than that of the traditional group (P<0.05); the scores of the education group were also significantly lower than those of the traditional group in terms of self-assessment of symptoms such as depression, interpersonal relationships and anxiety (P<0.05); the rates of cesarean section, eclampsia and neonatal asphyxia in the education group were significantly lower than those in the traditional group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Psychological interventions such as psychoeducation for patients with severe preeclampsia can effectively reduce pregnancy stress, relieve anxiety and improve pregnancy outcomes.
