Objective: To investigate the expression levels of plasma miRNA-208a-3p, miRNA-499a-5p and miRNA-221-3p and their correlation with cardiac troponin (cTnⅠ) and heart fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP) in patients acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and to explore their potential value for early diagnosis of AMI. Methods: A total of 52 patients with AMI were continuously collected as AMI group, and 24 patients with non-cardiac chest pain were collected as control group.High-throughput sequencing was used to detect the expression levels of three miRNAs in plasma of the two groups.Pearson analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the expression levels of three miRNAs and cTnⅠ and H-FABP.The receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to analyze the area under the curve (AUC) of the three miRNAs in the diagnosis of AMI alone and in combination. Results: Compared with the control group, the expression levels of these three miRNAs in the plasma of AMI group were significantly increased (P<0.05), which were positively correlated with cTnⅠ and H-FABP respectively (P<0.05), and the AUC of single diagnosis of AMI was 0.794, 0.772 and 0.806, respectively; the AUC of combined diagnosis of AMI was 0.862. Conclusion: Plasma miRNA-208a-3p, miRNA-499a-5p and miRNA-221-3p can be used as potential biomarkers for early diagnosis of AMI, and the potential diagnostic value of combined indicators is higher.
